La Tatuana Edition is the sweetest edition in the Wanderum range.Β It can be enjoyed neat as a sipping rum, optionally with a single ice cube. On the nose, it offers delicate aromas of vanilla, fudge, anise, toasted coconut, and ripe tropical fruit.
For many years, Wanderum has sourced and produced different editions from various regions around the world. This time, the journey has led to Guatemala in Central America, resulting in the creation of the La Tatuana Edition.
On the palate, a complex flavor profile unfolds, where umami intertwines with deep notes of muscovado and powdered sugar, accompanied by hints of cookie dough, anise, and ProvenΓ§al candied orange peel. The experience finishes with an elegant, well-integrated alcoholic warmth that adds a refined touch to the aftertaste β spicy, yet balanced in true Wanderum character.Β Since the 1600s, Guatemala has been recognized for the high quality of its sugarcane, primarily grown in the eastern and northern regions of the country where climate and soil conditions are ideal.Β The harvest typically takes place from November to April. After harvesting, the sugarcane is milled to produce raw sugar, which is then refined into various sugar products used, among other things, in the production of spirits aged in oak barrels under local climatic conditions. To complete and balance the flavour, Wanderum has blended the Guatemalan barrel-aged sugarcane distillates with a smaller amount of barrel-aged distillates from Venezuela.

βVisiting Copenhagen, I knew I had to visit The Danish Pipe Shop. What a GREAT experience. First, the staff are so friendly and VERY helpful (Nikolaj, Daniel, and Kevin). Yesterday, I purchased a number of pipes. They pulled all the stock for each one I was interested in so I could choose the ones I liked best. There was no rush or pressure, but I definitely bought more than I was planning! Good for them and great for me. Iβm VERY happy and satisfied with my purchase! Then today I came in to 1) smoke in their smoking lounge and 2) arrange an order of several falcon stems and bowls for friends back home. They showed me the products every step of the way and made it so easy. I would say to not hesitate to order online. Better yet, if youβre in Copenhagen, be sure to stop by. As a pipe smoker, this has been a highlight experience for my visit to Copenhagen!β
